How often do you think, 'I can't do that'? How often do you stop yourself from putting yourself out there because of fear and anxiety of failing?

Sometimes it seems like things are impossible, and sometimes you just need a little inspiration from someone who's been there and overcame those same challenges because, remember, what you see, you can be!
We need more realistic stories of hope, passion and inspiration to push us past the fear and on to the excitement of new challenges. We need to inspire each other and be there to support when things don't go to plan. Sometimes you just need someone to ask you what your passions or hopes for the future are, to actually begin thinking about and realising them.
Women particularly fall victim to undermining themselves and it's true, we do face real and dangerous threats, but we cannot let those fears keep us from realising our potential. Life is simply too short not to take risks.

We all get a little caught up in the reality of achieving our dreams, but if we never even think about them, then we are missing out on such a big part of life. This night will be a night of overcoming fear and asking yourself, 'what makes me happy?', what are my dreams?' and 'how can I achieve them?'

Public speaking is not just something for work presentations, or nobel prize winners to give TED talks, we all have stories, opinions, thoughts, and we benefit from sharing these stories. These events are for giving women a platform to express themselves in a supportive environment, and for the audience to listen and know that they are amongst others in our common struggles. These events are also for all genders, we need to be able to hear and listen to other perspectives in order to work together.
