Unrepentant drums, aggressive guitar strokes and lyrics dripping with equal parts humor and deviancy, Local punk outfit 7UPPERCUTS is hitting the stage in Saigon for the inaugural taping of a new television show focused on underground Vietnamese music.

Listed on Saigoneer’s top 20 songs of 2019, the rebellious rock act 7UPPERCUTS is the perfect band to kick off Nhạc O, a Bookurshows production that will introduce audiences to some of the country’s most talented young musicians who are experimenting with different styles, genres and performances.

Hosted by actor and singer/songwriter, Lam Vissay, the shows will include intimate live performances interspersed with conversations that get to the core of each act’s creativity and the vibrant elements of local scenes.

The first episode of Nhạc O featuring 7UPPERCUTS will be filmed at District 2’s Mona Lisa Bar and Cafe on February 22 at 9pm. While Saigoneer will release the video of the show produced by Pinky Lamb and directed by Mister Goyo Gomez, fans can witness the performance in all its raucous glory by attending the live recording at Mona Lisa. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
