One of our favorite returning acts is the never-disappointing EXOS.

An experienced techno artist from Iceland since the mid-nineties is back at The Lighthouse with his minimal and atmospheric techno beats. Exos has been releasing more than twenty vinyl records and three albums through the years. His debut appeared at age 17 with his first EP Thule records, an Icelandic dub techno label, known for its rare signature minimal sound. Along with Alan Ritchie in our Club Floor. On the rooftop we're having MANNY, JAUGE, and MATT ABSTRAX.

Exos (Mosaic, Трип / IS)

Exos is one of the most experienced and respected techno artist from Iceland. Since 1997 Exos has been releasing more than twenty vinyl records and three albums. His release “My Home is Sonic“ was voted album of the year 2001 by “mbl.is“, one of most prominent newspaper source in Iceland.

Exos joined трип (Trip) in 2014 that was voted one of the best labels of the year later on in many of the critical sources of the dance music scene such as Resident advisor. In 2016 Exos released his latest single “Downgarden” on Thule Records which made his international tour called”The Downgarden tour” through South/North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In 2017 Exos did open his own label called “X/OZ” releasing music from friends, favorites and himself. Exos has made collabs and remix projects with the likes of Nina Kraviz, Dj Rush, Ben Sims, Mark Broom and Traumer. And made an appearance in places like Awakenings, Fabric, Output, Berghain and Ostgut.

JAUGE (Magic Box Engine / UK)

Jauge has been a prolific creator of musical ideas and has been playing live sets at events such as Mutek, Future Music Everything and other various independent parties within the Welsh music scene. During that time he also had releases included on labels such as MTA Records, Food Music, and Bad Panda Records.

After migrating to VN, he has shared his sounds and music creations at various venues and events such as Duality Festival, Kobala, Studio Adventure, Equation 2018, Savage, Rafikis, We Groove, Mystery Mountain, Kumquat Tree and the recent This Is.

MANNY (Hazy Lemons, Banana Hustle / FR)

Manny is a Paris native, currently living in Saigon. Manny’s love for hip hop music started with 90’s French hip hop music and later blossomed when he had started to listen to American hip hop artists, such as 2-Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the NWA. He then went on to co-produce "Le Plan Deb", a French rap lyrics band.

His passion for hip hop started to evolve while listening to one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s sample compilations, “Shaolin Soul”. That paved the way which led him into soul funk disco music. Since then, Manny has dabbled with many genres, such as African and tropical culture. He has developed his own styling of soul to topical groove with a touch of modernity. Every so often his music tends to be a little bit wilder, as he explores deeper dark sounds.

MATT ABSTRAX (AU)

Matt Abstrax was regular in the Australian techno & house scene for many years with his party rocking DJ sets and, as the creator of party brand TechPhonics. He brought to Adelaide and played alongside a massive array of acts over 10 years of parties, including Derrick May, Robert Hood, Octave One, Luke Slater, Ben Klock, James Zabiela, Hybrid, Jay Lumen, Funkagenda, Ian Pooley, Patrick Topping,
Oliver $, Audiojack, Nick Curly, Pleasurekraft, & many more. Matt has played major Australian music festivals and parties, sharing stages with some of the world's biggest acts like Disclosure, Gorgon City, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Andy-C, Gareth Emery and more. For the past 4 years Matt has been based in Vietnam and plays regularly across Vietnam and Cambodia, including special events like Quest Festival, Vibe Nation, Coracle Music Festival and Kerfuffle NYE.
