Back Events Near Me » Songs For Lost Hikers // Album Release & Film Screening @ Soma Saigon

Pete Mizell is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee who currently lives in Saigon. To date, he has released one 6-song EP, “Probly Overthinkin This,” currently available for streaming on Spotify, SoundCloud and most other major music platforms, and for purchase on Bandcamp.

“Songs for Lost Hikers,” which has been over a year in the making, will be his first full-length album release. Musically, it tries to avoid easy categorization, but draws influence from shoegaze, Americana/country, dreampop and rock n’ roll. Lyrically, it deals with such fun and varied topics as: loss, fear of loss, coping with loss, and coming to terms with loss. There’s also a song about boats.

Accompanying the entire album is a film composed by filmmaker and photographer Alexander E. Payne. Some individual sections of the film will be released later as music videos, but this may prove to be the only time the film is screened in its entirety.

Entry includes two codes for free, HQ downloads of the album in advance of its public release. One code is for you to keep, and the other to give away to a friend who you think might like the album. We will also be selling T-shirts in support of the album, designed by artist Nathan Spence.

The event will also feature live music performed by Pete Mizell, Wayfarer State, Sarah Pons, Matt Kawahara and Green Means Go.
