As the cultural phenomenon we know as hip hop turns 50, BoomSlang and Breakaholics are celebrating in style as we invite 2021 DMC foundation champion DJ Delightfull to grace the decks at one of D2’s choicest venues Café Des Stagiaires. As one of the hardest working and talented turntablists on the scene, expect to witness the sharpest of cuts and mind-blowing turntable wizardry from one of the most skilled DJs in the world right now. No hip hop head should miss this opportunity.

As if that wasn’t enough, we welcome along a stalwart of the alternative music scene in Saigon, DJ Jase. As head honcho of The Beats, Bass Republic, and Mojo Dojo this genre-breaking, forward-thinking artist has hosted the likes of DJ Premier, DJ Woody, DJ Vadim, and D-Styles to name a few so you know you’re in the safest of hands when it comes to musical breadth and depth of knowledge and skills.

No hip hop party is complete without rhymes, so we have invited local hero Kazanalam to grab the mic with some of his original tracks to make your head bop on the rooftop.
Finally, we welcome British beatmaker Abstract Soundz spinning his signature dusty boom bap beats as he plays a set of his own original tracks for your enjoyment. Of course, the mic is ready for any MCs who want to grab it.

Supporting we have BoomSlang’s DJ Stav as well as local crew Soul Side holding down the rooftop with the finest selection of the funk, breaks and beats sprinkled with that classic hip hop sound.
