22 Gallery proudly presents the solo exhibition "1x2" by painter Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn. If there is one, there will be two.

If there are two, there will be all things. And things are always evolving, nothing is absolute.

The 1 x 2 Painting Exhibition originated from reflections on the principles of universal dualism and relativity, which remain deeply rooted in Asian thought and culture. This is Nguyen Ngoc Tuan's first exhibition, following more than 10 years of passionate self-exploration in painting. The exhibition features works created with ink, gouache, and mixed media on paper and canvas. Some traditional materials, such as do, cay, or phoi sac (“), are used subtly to bring a different artistic effect to the pieces.

The elements of WATER and FIRE, as well as yin and yang and the interplay of light and shadow, are revealed throughout the artworks, from the subjects to the forms and color expressions.

Whether it is LOTUS, SHADOW, FIGURE, BLOOMING, GOLD, or STRAW, all the works represent infinite thoughts and evocations of the transformative states of Creation-Destruction, Life-Death, Movement-Static, Beginning-Ending, and Rise-Decay. Viewers will discover multiple layers of meaning based on their own feelings!
