Hồng Hạc Theater invites you to discover “VISA” – a staged reading that is dramatic, humorous, heartfelt, and deeply relatable. The story follows Lim, a young journalist from Saigon who travels to Hanoi to apply for a passport to visit her boyfriend in Belgium. Despite her friend’s warnings, she chooses to be completely honest with Christian, the embassy interviewer, about the purpose of her trip. Immediately, complications arise—but so does something unexpected: Christian begins to fall for Lim – a knowledgeable, strong-willed, and honest Vietnamese woman.

What seems like a routine interview turns into a poetic and thought-provoking confrontation between two people from very different worlds. With witty yet gentle dialogue, tense moments laced with humor, and romance grounded in realism, “VISA” comes to life through the voices of actor/director Aaron Toronto (as Christian) and actress Lê Chi Na (as Lim).
