“Bình minh châu thổ” (Delta Dawn) is the 7th solo exhibition by artist Hồng Quân, showcasing nearly 70 watercolor paintings on cold-pressed paper, selected from over 200 works created between 2019 and 2025.

The central theme of the collection is the rustic yet vibrant life of the southwestern migrants of Vietnam — people born and raised among rivers, whose lives are anchored to boats drifting along the delta’s branches. Beyond capturing scenery, the artist conveys the pulse of daily life, the shifting light, the flowing water, and the quiet moments hidden behind the warm smiles of the Mekong Delta people.

This seventh solo exhibition marks a mature chapter in Hồng Quân’s artistic journey — a stage where nostalgia no longer serves as a place of return, but as a foundation to move forward. Within each brushstroke, one may see not only the silhouette of the river, but also of people, of homeland, and of oneself.

The exhibition also serves as the inaugural show celebrating the expansion of Maii Art Space — now offering a larger venue for solo and group exhibitions, installations, talks, sculpture, ceramics, and more.
