22 Gallery is honored to present "Đang trôi", a solo exhibition by artist Bùi Chát, taking place from July 14 to July 24, 2025, curated by Phan Trọng Văn.

This marks Bùi Chát’s 12th solo exhibition, featuring nearly 20 works created between 2021 and 2025, using acrylic, oil paint, and oil stick on canvas.

"Đang trôi" – A drifting and introspective journey by Bùi Chát.

"Where are we drifting to?!" — the title of his recently released poetry collection — is a question that quietly echoes from the page and now ripples across the canvas. From word to image, from resonance to hue, Bùi Chát continues his artistic monologue in this latest solo exhibition, "Đang trôi".

If you are familiar with Bùi Chát’s poetry — terse yet elusive, rebellious yet composed — you won’t be surprised to find a similar spirit in his paintings: visually uncompromising, compositionally unruly, and deliberately detached from conventional ideals of beauty. Yet within that resistance lies a distinctly personal language — fragmented, uneven, adrift, and fully intentional.
