Midori’s Tea Talk is not intended as a session to guide people into signing up for classes. These are simply sincere and relaxed conversations about topics that Midori cares about and wants to share with everyone. Each session will feature a guest who has both the expertise and the passion to ensure that our conversations are truly meaningful.
This Saturday, Midori will sit down over tea with a longtime friend and senior colleague – director Hàm Trần (Tử chiến trên không, Tiệm ăn của quỷ, Đoạt hồn, Âm mưu giày gót nhọn, Siêu trộm, etc.) – to talk about the art of storytelling and filmmaking.
Making films in Vietnam is challenging yet fascinating. Anyone who carries a passion for cinema and wants to be part of it understands this. But how difficult is it really? Where should one begin? How do you build a screenplay structure? How do you raise money to make a film? Is formal film education necessary? Midori hopes to address some of these questions in this first Tea Talk session.
Of course, Midori will always have good tea and delicious pastries for everyone attending.
