Art at the Intersection of Geometry and Nature
Nature sustains life through a subtle form of discipline. In the bodies of insects, each part is arranged with near-perfect precision: a chitin shell encases the body like sturdy armor; segmented joints form a flexible structure; wings unfold with delicate veins like a map of force and flight direction. Beneath this small form lies a tightly organized system, where every detail carries the memory of adaptation, selection, and a timescale far longer than human history.
Each stick insect, or a dragonfly’s wing, is the result of hundreds of millions of years of silent evolution, of a natural circulation that continues to evolve. Insects pollinate flowers, decompose matter for the soil to regenerate, and keep cycles running in full. Within these fragile bodies, nature reveals an astonishing creative force: restrained yet complete, simplified yet profound, small yet carrying the weight of an entire ecosystem.
With Trùng – The Geometry of Insects, Lê Trọng Hoàng brings these principles into a visual framework. The exhibition unfolds as an artistic study, where biological structures are interpreted through the lens of geometry and the perspective of a new generation, allowing viewers to approach the world of insects with both knowledge and emotion, and with a deeper contemplation of the order of life.
