Old archival footage, animated sequences of mesmerizing surreal dreams, combined with commentary from leading psychoanalysts and Freud scholars in the award-winning Gradiva 2025 film - OUTSIDER.FREUD - will take audiences onto a strange train ride, where landscapes of the unconscious slowly emerge, take shape, disappear, and continuously transform. The train becomes like a psychoanalytic session, guiding us - people who believe we know ourselves well yet remain deeply unfamiliar with ourselves - to begin exploring the depths of the mind for the very first time, touching primal memories long buried in oblivion, much like archaeologists excavating ancient cities hidden beneath countless layers of stone and gravel.

On the occasion of the 170th birthday of Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, the man who laid the first foundation for treating mental disorders through conversation and whose influence has extended deeply into many other fields such as culture, art, and philosophy for more than a century, psychoanalytic associations as well as Freud admirers around the world have organized many screenings of OUTSIDER.FREUD to express their affection and admiration for this truly extraordinary man.
