Adrian Giordano @ The Observatory

From the organizer: Nu-disco pioneer and veteran producer, party-provider and DJ - Adrian Giordano will bring his two decades of experience to a night that's going to burst with funky electronic energy.

Adrian Giordano’s productions are funk-fuelled excursions to the epicentre of the disco galaxy. Irresistible to dance to, the atmosphere his sounds create gracefully balances fun with complexity, intrigue & a determined, rolling drive.

His sets reflect his own personal musical journey from his beginnings in the early 90s with techno & house through to his current engagement with the party scene in Bali. The result is a dance-focused, tropical electronic energy that is going to get this night shaking like a coconut tree in an electric hurricane.

Adrian Giordano Bio

Adrian Giordano’s journey into electronic music began at the dawn of the 90′s when he got involved with the Chicago House, Detroit Techno and Deep House scenes. The discovery of these styles inspired him to begin his first endeavors in production. Adrian’s work led him deeper into the scene, to hosting parties, and to eventually opening his own venue, a collaboration with DJ Leo V, The Royal Club, in Argentina. At this point in his career, Adrian felt compelled to perform the music he had been so deeply involved with. Within his first year as a DJ, he was quickly recognized and soon found..

Within his first year as a DJ, he was quickly recognized and soon found himself playing at the most respected clubs in Argentina with renowned names in the industry.

Adrian has continued to perform throughout the last decade, his individual style remaining constant as a blend between Nu Funk, Nu Disco and Deep House, all dusted with an 80′s Electro-Boogie flavor. He enjoys incorporating deep pads, fat analog bass lines and vintage synthesizers to create his signature sound. His work is influenced and inspired by the likes of Daniel Wang, Ilija Rudman, Boogie Corporation, Metro Area, Spirit Catcher, Chicken Lips, DJ T and Silver City, to name a few. His performances have been world-wide, from venues in South America throughout Europe and Asia, including Santiago, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Barcelona, Ibiza, Sardinia, Rome, Goa and Pondicherry.

Since 2011, Adrian has been part of the duet, “Disconautas” with fellow Argentine DJ, Adriano Vivas, playing sets together back to back. His latest musical project is “Advan Music”, a 4-piece electronic band, in which he composes and produces the songs. They are a curious group as his fellow band members Sofia, Catalina and Miguel Caccavo, are the family of an ex-girlfriend.

His most recent solo work, “Lost in Rome EP” for the record label “Heartbeat Revolution” took the top position on sales charts this past October. This release has remixes by producers Phunktastike, Julian Sanza, Future Feelings and the disco champion, Dicky Trisco.

“Destination Unknown”, the aptly named title of Adrian’s current EP with Spirit Soul Music Records (TBR in May 2013) , reflects his plan for the coming year, “Lately my mood is becoming smooth and mellow. I really love to play at sunset, creating a soundscape and musicalizing the natural beauty. I have a deep connection with the sun… it’s a kind of meditation for me. Now I’m headed to Bali to continue playing at day parties, swimming pools and lounge bars like this past season in Goa. I am discovering Asia, destination unknown, so I’m going where the music vibes drive me…”
