From the organizer: For the first time, Genius School of Chess collaborate with Saigon Outcast to organize the ONE and ONLY Genius Chess Tournament, the first chess tournament in Vietnam which opens for both Vietnamese and Expatriates (non-proffessional chess players) living in Vietnam.
The purpose of the event is to bring people together while promoting the beauty of chess. We also want to create a community where people who love chess can have a chance to meet one another and share their passion in chess.
Venue: Saigon Outcast, 188 Nguyen Van Huong, Thao Dien, District 2, HCM City
Date: Sunday, 4th September, 2016
Time: 8.30am - 5.30pm (specific time for each age group will be announcedlater)
Genius Chess Tournament has 3 different age groups:
- Children: 5-11 years old
- Teenagers: 12-17 years old
- Adults: 18 years old and above
Prizes are also different among age groups:
- Children: Trophies and Chess scholarships from Genius School of Chess
- Teenagers: Trophies and Chess scholarship from Genius School of Chess
- Adults: Trophies and Cash up to US$100
Registration fee: a book related to children or education
*Deadline for registration: 1st September 2016
*The final matches will be live on Facebook and Saigon Outcast big screen for everyone to see.
*The tournament is organized under International Chess Rules
*Please don't register if you have participated in any other professional chess competition :)
