Italo disco originated in Italy towards the end of the high days of disco and beginning of 80s electronic music. It was mainly produced from the late 1970s to the late 1980s by artists such as Giorgio Moroder, Koto, and Fun Fun although the sound is created and evolving still today. Often exploring multiple genres in one song from disco to electronic, guitars, heavy on synths, not shy of lazers and varying vocal styles from minimal to power ballad.
