This curated event unfolded from the vibrant essence of its own JW Garden, inviting discerning guests to deeply connect with nature, embrace sustainable living, and celebrate the longest day of the year in unparalleled elegance on Vietnam's enchanting Pearl Island.
Embodying the spirit of the summer solstice – a time for profound connection with nature, peace, and joy – the Solstice Serenity Journey fostered renewal and a deep understanding of our place in the world. The journey gracefully unfolded with Dawn's Gentle Awakening, where guests embraced mindful movements and serene sea breezes through Sunrise Yoga & Botanical Breathwork on the tranquil shores of Khem Beach. This deep connection with nature continued with a Lamarck's Herbarium & Healing Herbs experience, a guided stroll through the vibrant JW Garden, exploring edible, aromatic, and healing herbs grown sustainably on-site.
The evening culminated in a truly magnificent Summer Solstice Garden Party – An Evening of Illuminated Elegance, a feast for the senses held in the refined Function area of the Grand Ballroom, thoughtfully positioned directly alongside our cherished JW Garden. The setting was a breathtaking ode to sustainability and natural beauty: a single, elegantly long table gracefully seated all 45 guests, bathed in the soft glow of countless candles. Each place setting featured a beautiful bowl adorned with fragrant mint and rosemary, all freshly harvested from our own JW Garden, serving as both an exquisite centerpiece and a vessel for wishes. Guests were invited to write their aspirations to Mother Nature on sustainable seed paper wish cards, then tenderly bury them in these bowls, knowing they would later be moved to our thriving JW Garden. This conscious connection to nature extended to every detail, with seed paper also beautifully composing the dinner menus and elegantly covering freshly baked bread. Guests' names, delicately hand-written on individual green leaves, provided a lovely and perfectly sustainable touch.
As the sun set, the space filled with the healing aromas of the garden, creating an immersive atmosphere of profound peace and connection. Guests savored the natural beauty surrounding them, amplified by the gentle evening air. The 5-course gastronomic journey was a testament to culinary artistry and the richness of local produce. Each dish celebrated the freshest ingredients, with its vibrant herbs and vegetables directly harvested from the JW Garden, perfectly complemented by premium elements from succulent Wagyu beef to exquisite Phu Quoc lobster, integrated with the signature flavors of the island, such as fragrant Sim sauce and delicate Phu Quoc herring.
