On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, we are pleased to present the “New Generation” concert, taking place at 8:00 PM on 3rd April 2026, at the Concert Hall of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
“New Generation” is a concert featuring the HCMC Conservatory Young Orchestra which brings together talented students from the Western Musical Instruments Department. The orchestra was founded and developed under the guidance of Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach, and is currently led by clarinetist Quan Hoang as Music Director, contributing to a professional performance environment for young musicians.
In this concert, the orchestra is honored to collaborate and perform with Dr. Andrea Daru from the Faculty of Music, University of Debrecen (Hungary). As part of the cooperation between the two institutions, with support from the Pannónia Scholarship Program, conductor Andrea Daru will join the young musicians to explore the remarkable sounds created through orchestral harmony. The program also highlights five young soloists from the Western Musical Instruments Department: Nguyen Linh Xuan, Tang Lac Ky Nam, Truong Y Linh, Nguyen Hieu Doanh, and Tran Hoang Truc Dan, showcasing the distinctive timbres and techniques of string instruments through works by Vivaldi and Beethoven.
