Vietnam To Get Its First International Fashion Week

Vietnamese fashionistas rejoice!

At a press conference and ceremony held by MultiMedia JSC and FIDe Fashion Week on July 6, it was announced that Saigon will host Vietnam’s very first international Fashion Week this December.

The event is a collaboration between MultiMedia JSC and FIDé Fashion Week, with the support of the Asia Fashion Association and the Atelier Chardon Savard Paris Fashion Institute.

“Vietnam International Fashion Week will be a great chance to introduce excellent designers…in Asia as well as international ones,” said Ms. Lê Thị Quỳnh Trang, Head of MultiMedia’s board of directors.

She also recommended that famous Vietnamese designer, Nguyễn Công Trí, become a member of the Asia Fashion Association.

Dr. Frank Cintamani, head of Asia Fashion Association and FIDé Fashion Week, said that the show would feature spectacular collections at international standards, with about 20 globally renowned designers putting on shows.

This will be a great opportunity for the Vietnamese fashion industry to show the world what it’s made of.
