The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre would like to invite you to the openings of two exhibition: one by Saigon Artbook and one by Nguyễn Thuý Hằng. 

In the exhibition “I, Me, Mine”, 5 emerging artists are featured – Trần Kim Hoa, Đỗ Nguyễn Lập Xuân, Hoàng Nam Việt, Xuân Hạ (Grandmadeadxh) and Yatender – in the newest addition to the Saigon Artbook (SGAB) canon, co-organized by The Factory and inpages. These artists take us on a journey, exploring the cornerstones of the ‘self’ – place, connection, appearance and perception – examining how these continually interweaving elements shape the artistic and emotional expression that becomes fundamental to human character. Meanwhile, in the exhibition ‘Histoire d’un Voyage: Sand in my ears, adrift of the world’, artist Nguyễn Thuý Hằng celebrates the relationship between text and image making, encouraging awareness that visual artists today are unique cultural thinkers straddling multiple media and methodology. Displayed in the upper galleries of The Factory, Thúy Hằng takes us on a journey – from conception to final print – of her book making.
