That club is none other than the legendary, infamous and widely-respected underground haunt of Harajuku, Tokyo: bonobo.
With a sound system crafted from the stuff of dreams and a mixer put together specifically for the late legend David Mancuso’s Japan tour, bonobo is a place where everyone is welcome, and the goal is to dance in an intimate atmosphere… which is very much like our own spot some several thousand kilometers away to the south.
The bonobo delegation will comprise its owner Sei along with the two main residents Hobo Brazil and CMT. They will play alongside The Obs’ residents Nic Ford, Hibiya Line and Dan Lo across the two evenings, delivering a vast sonic experience that will showcase what our growing, unified Asian underground dance family is all about.
Get down for a big taste of what makes one of Tokyo’s most coveted dance floors move for days at a time.
