ABOUT THE DJs/ARTISTS:

JAN HAGENKOETTER (INFRAcom/jazznotjazz/dOSe)
Style nomad and eclectic – elegantly combines electronic and acoustic music. He does not promote “the perfect mix”, but rather an enthralling environment created by interesting music. “It’s the feeling that matters, not the perfect beat. But it should always have soul”. His main influences can be found in disco, jazz, latin and afro, and of course, soul – a percussion- driven, electronic up-tempo sound building into house and interacting with some classic melodies and favourites from the past. He would say, “I play jazznotjazz”. Jan Hagenkötter started his career as a DJ in 1992 in the legendary Frankfurt club “Lissana” together with Shantel. After founding INFRACom!, he played in clubs and at festivals all over the world, including in Japan, Paris and London, with his partner Namé Leonhard Vaughn (until his death in 2004). Jan Hagenkötter has been touring as a solo DJ since 2004.

DJ Cherrydoll
Cherry Chu, Also known as “DJ Cherrydoll”, born and raised in Hong Kong. DJ Cherrydoll has been gracing the decks with her funky beats. It all started even before she touched a turntable. Dolly first spent a number of years working in Hong Kong’s top clubs and bars where she fell in love with soulful vibes all the way down to the funky sounds of Breakbeat. Winner of the impressive Pioneer’s & Juice Magazine’s DJ competition, Dolly continued with her vibe coming from a wide spectrum of influences - from Soulful House to Breakbeat to Detroit techno and her collision of
Nu Funk, old jazz or old hip hop remixes makes a dynamic concoction. Her taste in music and flexibility in style makes her very special for every party.

Living in Paris for 5 years, I discovered Parisian underground night surrounded by my music enthusiast and DJ friends. Now based in Saigon (VN), I’m willing to share disco, house & deep house spiced with a bit of calor (heat) and soul! AND… La Riff (FR), From French non-tropical island, Belle Ile en Mer. JUAN ANTHONY on Trumphet

Born and raised in Oklahoma with strong influences in early Jazz, Latin, Funk and now dabbing into Deep House, as well as Techhouse -- you will see Juan in jazz rooms, as well as in the Saigon underground music circuit layering jazz with pizazz. Expect some Gillespie inspired Bop, Afro-Cuban with Afro-American rhythms. He likes shooting guns, drinking whisky and long walks on the beach.
