“It’s all Greek to me” is going to the 3rd season. Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City has a great pleasure in welcoming back the talent guest chef, George Diakomichalis, from Greece, an Australian celebrity chef, who will be showcasing traditional Greek cuisine in 3 days of gastronomic dinners.

Chef George, the award winning of Best Pastries Chef of Australia 2019, is a fourth generation pastry chef in his family with infectious energy and a bright welcoming smile always on his face. Renowned for the quality of his pastries and impeccable hospitality, Greek Australian George Diakomichalis is the personification of popular. His passion for desserts saw him open Adelaide’s Kalymnos Pastries, often cited as South Australia’s best patisserie, in 1995 and his entertaining, friendly and informative presenting style has landed him guest spots on a variety of TV shows including Meraki TV, as well as his own show “It’s All Greek To Me.”

Back to Ho Chi Minh City this year, Chef George brings his passion to host a culinary journey to the one who’s fond of Greek cuisine in 3 nights from 7th to 10th November 2019. Greece is not only famous for mythologies and coats but also well-known for tasty and flavorsome dishes. Chef George’s menu is reflected the country’s traditional with Pastitsio, a Greek Pasta made of ground meat topped with béchamel sauce and cheese; Baklava, a hands down dessert favorite, it’s a thin layer of golden filo filled with chopped almonds and two other popular sweets which are strongly recommended, Cream Kataifi and Galaktoboureko, Cream Kataifi is a roasted kataifi with almonds, it’s covered with a traditional custard and cream and Galaktoboureko is a traditional Greek custard baked in golden filo pastry with a syrup base.
