Hồng Hạc Theater presents “Đào Lửa”, a stage adaptation of Nguyễn Ngọc Tư's short stories Tro Tàn Rực Rỡ, written by director Việt Linh. Rather than merely combining the two narratives, the play constructs a new space where human fate is explored through poignant and haunting moments.

Scheduled for 7:30PM on March 4th at Hồng Hạc Theater (District 3, Hồ Chí Minh City), Đào Lửa delivers 90 minutes of deeply emotional storytelling, brought to life by lead actors Anh Thơ and Đinh Mạnh Phúc. The story follows Sáng – a blind man living in isolation on an island – and a prostitute who is sent to him as a "human gift" by the grateful fishermen he once saved. Despite their initial estrangement, a bond gradually forms between them, built on understanding and shared vulnerability.

Under the direction of Lê Thụy, Đào Lửa is a bold artistic experiment, blending theatrical language with cinematic techniques. Smooth scene transitions, a concise yet powerful narrative, and the evocative music of composer Vũ Phúc An all contribute to a thought-provoking and deeply human experience.
