On the morning of February 22, 2025, the solo exhibition "An Artistic Exploration" by artist Bui Tien Tuan opened at Sann - The House of Art, located at 92 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, marking his 30-year professional artistic career.

Starting his creative journey in 1994-1995 as a student, Bui Tien Tuan has persistently pursued and explored his artistic path for three decades. "An Artistic Exploration" not only showcases the silk paintings that have made his name but also introduces a variety of other materials, including oil on canvas, do paper, lacquer, and more recently, large-scale acrylic paintings.

Since the late 2000s, Bui Tien Tuan, along with several colleagues, has played a role in revitalizing and innovating Vietnamese silk painting, breaking away from outdated concepts and propaganda-style approaches. His works not only depict elegant urban women but also explore the dreamy landscapes of Hoi An, urban street life, and even abstract art. Regardless of the material or subject, his artworks exude vibrancy, allure, and a distinctive personal style.

Curator Ly Doi commented: "Looking back at the 90-year journey of Vietnamese silk painting, Bui Tien Tuan resembles the predecessor Nguyen Phan Chanh in the way he gives identity to ordinary characters... The women in his paintings are rarely linked to rural life or agriculture; instead, they are often urban dwellers, fashion-conscious, sometimes a bit frivolous, indulging in pleasures."

The "An Artistic Exploration" exhibition is an opportunity for the public to admire and deeply appreciate Bui Tien Tuan's artistic evolution and passion throughout the past 30 years.
