Curatorial Forum & Art Tour – 29 June, Ho Chi Minh City

Join us for a full-day UNESCO cultural event exploring curatorial practice and contemporary art in Vietnam and beyond. Hosted at the University of Culture, Ho Chi Minh City, the morning program features keynote addresses by Associate Professor Jane Gavan (Sydney Vietnam Institute) and independent curator Do Tuong Linh, followed by a panel discussion with leading voices from local museums and art institutions. Topics include curatorial definitions, institutional challenges, and emerging trends in Vietnam’s art scene.

After lunch, participants can join an exclusive guided bus tour led by cultural facilitator Uyen Ly, visiting key art venues across the city. Stops include the Quang San Art Museum, the MoT+++ / A.Farm space featuring Thom Nguyen’s exhibition Water Resistance, and the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum.

This event is presented by UNESCO, the University of Culture (HCMC), and the University of Sydney’s Vietnam Institute.
