anatomEscape is part of the 'Escape' practice series—an initiative to step away from the complexities of art and observe through a more coherent and traceable lens. This process of retrospection aims to support the personal creative practices of art enthusiasts.

Moving beyond the 'gray area' of academic anatomical studies, this series of flexible short and long pose drawing sessions helps participants train not only their perception of volume and form but also their ability to capture and express subjects within a limited timeframe. Kickstarting the Year of the Horse, we are offering both female and male model sessions this Thursday and Tuesday (next week) to fully support your figure drawing practice and research.

In this anatomEscape session, artist Moc Kha and model will guide you through gesture drawing practices. With a focus on body structure, observational skills, and the analysis of forms for sketching—using basic materials like pencil and charcoal on paper—we aim to draw participants away from traditional classroom methods that prioritize rigid measurements. Instead, we invite you to directly engage with a living, breathing model in fleeting moments where capturing and expressing becomes a challenge of both skill and emotion.

Basic drawing paper, charcoal, and graphite. Participants are encouraged to bring additional materials they wish to experiment with.

p.artspace is a community of passionate individuals from various fields.

Still thinking Space (Vẫn đang suy nghĩ space) is a community-oriented art project by Luu An since October 2023, with the aim of creating an open space where individuals can practice their artistic projects and also engage in dialogues with the public, fostering a circulation of knowledge from the community to individuals (artists - participants). Space is organizing community programs that focus on conversations about drawing practice, anthropology, the queer body, femininity, as well as discussions about performing - performance and architecture. The space also serves as an open studio where artists may come to develop their own artistic endeavors.
