The French Institute in Vietnam is pleased to present Fête de la Musique 2026, taking place on June 20–21, 2026 in HCMC. This annual cultural event is held on the summer solstice (June 21), the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Fête de la Musique 2026 will feature 15 diverse music programs across different venues, offering the public the opportunity to discover a wide range of musical styles, spaces, and artistic experiences throughout the city.

Created in France in 1982 at the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, Fête de la Musique was built on the principles of openness, free access, and inclusivity. The event brings music closer to the public, creating opportunities for both professional and amateur musicians to participate while celebrating all forms of artistic expression, from classical music, jazz, rock, and pop to traditional, contemporary, and emerging genres created by younger generations.

Fête de la Musique has become an international phenomenon celebrated in more than 120 countries worldwide. Every year, public spaces, theaters, cafés, schools, museums, and streets transform into open stages where music connects communities and celebrates cultural diversity.
