Trialogue - Opening Night @ Vin Gallery

Trialogue – an exhibition of graffiti and street art by Saigon based artists Kristopher Kotcher, ‘Holm’ and Phan Minh Tuan.

Trialogue Exhibition

Date: 23.03.2015 – 11.04.2015
Opening Night: Friday 27th March 2015 from 6pm
Location: Vin Gallery, 6 Le Van Mien, ThaoDien, District 2

In their debut group exhibition, we are showcasing an eclectic mix of character based street art within the confines of the gallery space. Each artist’s work falls under the same heading yet couldn’t be any more different.

Phan Minh Tuan’s drawings and paintings are comprised of minimalist linear drawings of human body parts creating a character he calls ‘Liar Ben’. Starting his artistic life as a graffiti writer – Liar Ben moved into character drawing after studying at the Ho Chi Minh University of Fine Art.

‘Holm The Tooth’ moved away from graffiti art due to the art forms self made restrictions. He enjoys merging art techniques - from drawing on tiles and glueing them onto the wall to using styro-foam and printed stickers.

This will be Kristopher Kotchers second time exhibiting at Vin Gallery yet this time his work is taking a new direction. Also with a background in graffiti art, Kristopher’s work has developed and progressed throughout his time in South East Asia. He will be exhibiting a series of drawings, paintings and prints as well as sculpture.

Trialogue removes any preconceptions of graffiti art by exhibiting in a completely new environment. This combination of street art within a fine art space creates a visually stimulating and exciting exhibition.
