Nic Ford - The Observatory’s resident and one half of electronic outfit MadderModes - is a DJ and production force to be reckoned with. Nearly always armed with his big bag of vinyl, he’s been moving dance floors for years.
With Maddermodes’ release of the Green Corn Moon EP earlier this year on the highly acclaimed Millions of Moments label, his production skills were brought to the fore on dance floors in Europe and beyond, winning plaudits from respected figures in the circuit, with legend Nick Hoppner including the thumping deep house track “Myth of the Muses” on his Resident Advisor podcast.
Having just brought out another release on Deeplomatic - the “Nature’s Hiding Place EP” - Nic Ford is keeping hot on the tracks, sending bar after bar of deep, soul-drenched and rolling electronic rhythms straight to the centre of discerning dance floors everywhere.
This night, he’ll take us on a journey through the deepest reaches of his collections, from disco and funk to house and very serious techno.
