Max Essa (Is It Balearic? - JP) @ The Observatory

From the organizer: A DJ and producer with over 20 years experience making dance floors move to his sets and productions - the first of which was released on legendary Warp Records in 1993 - UK-raised and Japan-based Max Essa brings a high-powered synthesis of disco and house that has been tried and tested on audiences across the world.

Unsurprisingly, a Max Essa set usually involves a massive catalogue of extremely rare, soul-driving records that his experience has filtered for maximal dance floor-shaking power. Disco and soul edits we’ve most likely never heard before are shaken and stirred with all manner of breakbeats, dubbed-out grooves, Afro influences and highly specialized House blends that keep people moving for hours and hours. Be prepared for an eclectic sound feast that will be a delight for the dance floor.

Rare sound time.
