From the organizer: Sao La would like to invite you to this short films screening and meeting with the film makers Stephanie Lansaque and Francois Leroy.

Graduated from Industrial Design and Textile sections in «Olivier de Serres» School, one moved to «Gobelins» School and animation, while the other chose graphic design and art direction for print media and publishing.

In 2002, Stephanie and Francois travelled to Vietnam for the first time. They liked the atmosphere so much that they decided to work together on their first film, GOODBYE MISTER CHU, which talks about Vietnamese traditions and the lost soul’s festival. 

In 2009, they directed MEI LING, a fantastic movie, behind closed doors in a Hong Kong flat.

Two other short films about Vietnam followed: RED RIVER, SONG HONG (2012), social chronicle of Hanoi and COLD COFFEE (2015), an intimate and nerve racking movie.

For more than ten years, they are sharing their time between Paris, Hanoi and Saigon.
Stephanie and Francois are currently developing new projects taking place in Vietnam.

On the short film side, EXQUISITE CORPSE offers a walk in the old Hanoi guided by smell and look of a one-eyed dog.

On the feature film side, SUPER VINAMOTOR, mixing gangster film and contemplative road movie, invites to follow a young Mafioso in his escape from Saigon to Cambodia.
