BackEvents Near Me » Private View | A Window on Vietnam - Bridget March @ Vin Gallery

Join us on Friday 4 November from 6 - 8pm for the Private View of 'A Window on Vietnam' - A collection of new works by Bridget March.

As this is a private event, please RSVP to info@vingallery.com to be added to the guestlist.

This collection, which has been two years in the making, explores the artist’s fascination with the vast array of windows in urban Vietnam, and how they have become a significant and reoccurring element within her artworks.

‘I draw a lot of urban scenes and I realised, more and more, that doors and windows are an important ingredient in my work. I am irresistibly drawn to them. In most cultures, the style of windows and doors is what differentiates the urban landscape from one region to another. I want to discover what styles collectively make up the visual character of Vietnam streets.'

Originally from England with a background of eighteen years as a Product Designer, Bridget continued to develop her skills and practice during her years teaching at Leeds College of Art, which is where she learnt the art of etching. She has called Vietnam home for the past four years and during that time has explored, and been inspired by, different areas of the country including Hoi An and Sapa.

The work will be on display until Saturday 19 November 2016.

Bridget will be running two workshops alongside this collection, with all proceeds going to the Christina Noble Children's Foundation:
