Obs resident Dan Lo is joined by stalwart and local prince of the darkness Kin for a night that will swing between gritty Chicago workouts, Detroit depth-charges and sun-kissed seriousness as we leave the rain behind us and enter the new and final month of the year.

¬ DAN LO (The Obs)
♫ soundcloud.com/danlo-1
Dan Lo has been a regular at The Observatory since it first opened and became the third official resident of the club early this year. Playing an eclectic blend of house, disco and techno with frequent movements into afrobeat and other obscurities, he’s likes to fire up a crowd’s impulse to dance through rare and raw sound power.
Coming from Cyprus by way of London, he grew up immersed in many different styles of music, particularly Afrobeat and Reggae, but also Hip Hop, electronic variants and a lot of other sounds from across the world. For The Obs’ 3rd anniversary, you can expect a special, heavily Afro-influenced set to get the party started.
¬ KIN
♫ soundcloud.com/
Kin started picking empty glasses as a bar staff at The Observatory then soon fell for nightlife culture. After a decent amount of parties and supports for local veterans, he started his first gigs at the club. This little guy’s sound evolves around house/disco/techno territory, rolling back and forth from the classic sounds to their modern hybrids. Kin’s sets tend to take sex as the main ingredient which he believes to be the common sensation, and the effective mean to express various emotions.
