People of a certain age remember the 90s as a time of neon clothing, bad haircuts, and oversized polyester pants. Well luckily those memories are firmly cemented in the past presumably to return when hipsters deem appropriate.
For the fortunate majority of Saigonites however, we get to enjoy one of the greatest songwriters of that decade when The Lemonheads take the stage at Saigon International Music Week on December 2nd at Cargo bar.
The storied Even Dando leading the outfit has been revered as one of the best songwriters of his generation. Dando has collaborated with international artists like The Dandy Warhols, Dinosaur Jr., and Craig Armstrong. In 2014, his group has been touring the world to sold out shows while enjoying a lower profile than his well publicized past.
The group will be supported by local dance punk band James and the Van Der Beeks and Universal favorites, The Secret Asians, will be a fitting closure to Saigon's new status in the international festival circuit.
Tickets available via Ticketbox.
