Vietnam's National Team May Play Liverpool FC This Summer

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has announced that they are in contact with Premier League powerhouse Liverpool to arrange a friendly match between the two clubs this summer.

On January 17, Le Hoai Anh, the VFF’s secretary, told Tuoi Trethat the organization plans to invite the English club to Vietnam. Though official negotiations have yet to take place, there is a high chance this event will happen since Liverpool's summer tour will return to Asia this year. So far, China and Malaysia are their only two confirmed stops.

Apart from the VFF playing the role of host, other business partners and sponsors would cover the cost of inviting Liverpool FC to Vietnam, the news source shares.

If the negotiations are a success, the match will be held at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi, where the top line-up from Vietnam’s national team, including rising stars such as Quang Hai, Duy Manh, Ngoc Hai and Cong Phuong, would be expected to take on the English giant.
