Da Nang Is the Most Popular Destination for Vietnamese Tourists This Summer

Agoda, a popular online traveling booking platform, recently published their statistics for the top 10 destinations for Vietnamese tourists in summer 2019.

According to Vietnam's National Administration of Tourism website, which cites Agoda's statistics, Da Nang comes first in the list, followed by Bangkok. Other international destinations that made the list include Singapore (No. 5), Kuala Lumpur (No. 8) and Paris (No. 10).

The majority of cities included in the list are located in Vietnam's central provinces. Nha Trang comes third, followed by Hoi An (No. 4), Da Lat (No. 6), Phu Quoc (No. 7) and Quy Nhon (No. 9). Lonely Planet recently ranked Vietnam's central region No. 6 in their list of best 10 places in Asia-Pacific to visit in 2019.

Regarding the lure of Vietnamese destinations in the eyes of foreign travelers, in Agoda's report, Vietnam is also among the top 10 places for tourists coming from South Korea, Thailand, Japan and Singapore.

In Da Nang alone, the total number of visitors to the city reached 4.3 million visits in the first six months of 2019, a 15.1% increase compared to the same period last year, Dan Sinh reports.
