Tuoi Tre reports that Vuong Hong Nhat and his family are working insane hours to fulfill orders for their popular trophies that are just like the real thing – other than the fact that they’re made out of gypsum, not 18 carat gold.
“We only sleep a couple of hours a day to meet deadlines,” said Nhat. “We are exhausted, but it is fun doing so.”
For Nhat, a football aficionado, these trophies are the perfect way to mix his love for the sport with his pottery trade.
Nhat started to make is own trophies during the last World Cup, giving them as gifts to friends and relatives.
When he decided to sell them to the public this year, he surprised by the high demand.
Let’s see if FIFA tries to sue him for copyright infringement.
