After opening 6 stores in Saigon, American coffee giant, Starbucks, is gearing up to open its first store in the capital, according to VN Express.
Though there hasn’t been an official announcement from the company, the store is expected to open on Bà Triệu Street. Starbucks’ Vietnamese Facebook page has also been abuzz with events in Hanoi such as “Journey from the coffee bean to the cup: A Story Behind A Cup Of Coffee” which is set to take place on July 19.
Starbucks’ CEO, Howard Schultz recently said that the company’s Saigon stores’ performance exceeded expectations so it’s no surprise to see them expanding to Hanoi.
Time will tell if Hanoians are as brand-obsessed as Saigonese.
