Vietnam may be getting its first major storm of the rainy season this weekend.
Thousands in the Philippines are bracing for Typhoon Rammasun which is set to make landfall tonight. After passing over the archipelago, the storm is expected to continue on to Vietnam sometime this weekend.
Tuoi Tre reports that the Vietnam National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Center expects Rammasun to bring heavy rain and flashfloods to northern provinces while causing strong winds and rains in the south.
Early this morning, The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the storm’s winds are gusting up to 120km per hour.
Hopefully the storm’s path takes it farther north, sparing us from another weekend of rain.
