[Video] Vietnamese Robotics Team Wins International Contest

A student robotics team from Dong Nai Province’s Lac Hong University won the 14th annual ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (Robocon) which took place in Pune, India on August 24, reports Thanh Nien.

Robocon is an international robotics competition that includes representatives from 17 country and regions. Each supplied 2 robots, one automatic and the other manual, to perform 4 activities: see-saw, pole walk, swing and jungle gym.

The Vietnamese team met the Japanese team from the Nagoya Institute of Technology in the final match, and finished all the tasks in 47 seconds.

It’s been a long road to the top for the Vietnamese team which was first runner-up in 2010, 2012 and 2013, and the second runner-up in 2011.

"We had waited for this day for too long," said Lam Thanh Hien, Vice Director of Lac Hong University.
