On Sunday, police arrested a Vietnamese American in Hue for allegedly killing another bar patron for looking at him the wrong way.
The incident occurred on March 7 at the Zen Beer Club when 49-year-old Ha Cuong noticed that a man at a nearby table was “vulgarly gazing” at him. Cuong then walked over to the man, removed a knife from his pocket and stabbed him twice in the thigh, reports Thanh Nien.
The 26-year-old victim, whose name was withheld by police, died on the way to the hospital from a massive hemorrhage. Doctors said that the incisions had severed a major artery the thigh.
Cuong was “badly drunk” when brought to a local police station for questioning and fell asleep at an officer’s desk after being interrogated.
Looks like we’ll be staring down our drinks next time we hit the bar.
