Don't Miss Monday's Spectacular Meteor Shower

This coming Monday, you'll want to find a good view of the night sky as the annual Geminid meteor shower reaches its peak overnight from December 14-15.

The yearly event, which usually takes place between December 4 and 17, is expected to be at its most spectacular around 1am on the morning of Tuesday, December 15, reports Thanh Nien.

For stargazers, the meteor shower, which is named after the Gemini constellation, can include sightings of up to 120 meteors per hour. Saigon may or may not have a particularly clear view – light pollution has a tendency to ruin the magic of space – but city dwellers may still be able to see some of the Geminid event.
