Beginning on October 26, the route will link Vietnam's fourth largest city with the major Japanese metropolis.
Vietnam Airlines just announced recently that it will have start providing daily 4.5-hour-long flights between Da Nang and Osaka this October. The flights will leave Da Nang at 12:20am and Osaka at 9:30am, according to Dan Tri. Airbus A321 will be used for each flight.
The route join 10 others that the national carrier operates for an average 70 flights a week between Vietnam and Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, making it the nation's largest provider for flights to Japan. Since it began in 1994, Vietnam Airlines has flown 11.3 million passengers between the two countries, accounting for 65% of the market share. JetStar already operates four weekly flights between Da Nang and Osaka, which have resumed operation after last month's typhoon.
To entice passengers, Vietnam Airlines is offering promotional fairs starting at VND5.89 million VND (US$249 USD) for flights between October 28 to December 31 as well as increased loyalty miles.
