Saigon Gets its First Capsule Hotel

It looks like the capsule hotel fad has finally hit Saigon. The Hongkong Kaiteki has opened its first location on Pham Ngu Lao, offering cheap and, for some, slightly claustrophobic accommodations.

At around VND140,000 per night, the capsule rooms (it looks like they also offer standard rooms at a higher price point) include: a mattress, ear plugs, AC, TV and WIFI.

As an added bonus (?), it looks like the capsules have been decorated in an outer space motif so feel free to let your astronaut fantasies run wild.

If the Trip Advisor reviews are to be trusted, it looks like a solid option for those traveling on a budget.
