While Saigon has its own polluted canals to contend with and Hanoi works to clean up its act, our neighbors to the west are also struggling to bring their rubbish woes under control.
In this minute-long video from The Guardian, a drone captures Phnom Penh's rubbish-clogged canals, which have become so filled with plastic waste and sewage that the water's surface has disappeared beneath the garbage.
Phnom Penh's waterways are regarded as some of the most polluted in Southeast Asia.
