A new spin on beer has been introduced in Vietnam, and we’re not talking about the recent craft beer debut in Saigon. Saigon Anpha has released a new bird’s nest beer on January 26 in order to capitalize on the upcoming Tết holiday.

The beer is marketed as a healthy alternative to traditional brews as bird’s nests are claimed to have numerous health benefits such as aiding in digestion, providing a boost to one’s immune system and, of course, raising libido. At 4.5% alcohol by volume, it’s on par with other mainstream beers, but, interestingly, drinking this beer is claimed to not result in hangovers.
Their ad reads “Bird’s nest beer brings a fit look to men, a youthful skin to women and a bright mind and energy for the elderly.”
While the health benefits of bird’s nest products are still widely debated, we’re sure the promise of hangoverless boozing during Tết is more than enough to sell a few of these.
If you want to give the brew a try yourself, you can pickup a box over at Cungmua for VND265,000.
