Not only is Vietnam one of Asia’s leading beer consumers, (and a country whose women supposedly out-drink Russian men) but also the cheapest place to consume the popular alcoholic beverage.
At $.59 per beer, Vietnam tied with Ukraine (they might not have gas, but at least they have beer!) for cheapest in the world according to FinancesOnline which came up with the list of cheapest and most expensive places to get a drink.
The site examined the average amount consumed and calculated which nations' citizens pay the most annually and the average amount they pay:
World's cheapest:
1. Ukraine, 59 cents
2. Vietnam, 59 cents
3. Cambodia, 68 cents
4. Saudi Arabia, 70 cents
5. Czech Republic, 71 cents
World's priciest:
1. Iran, $7.71
2. Kuwait, $7.09
3. United Arab Emirates, $6.20
4. Papua New Guinea, $5.14
5. Singapore, $4.72
