Nguyen Sieu, a 19-year-old Hanoi boy, is one smart cookie. He has been offered university scholarships from seven top U.S. schools: Vassar College, Tufts University, Oberlin College, Franklin and Marshall College, Dickinson College, Saint John’s University in addition to Yale’s NUS College in Singapore.
Beyond high marks, Sieu scored extremely high on his entrance and language exams - 2220/2400 on the SAT 1, 2340/2400 on the SAT 2 and 112/120 on his TOEFL.
After weighing his options, Sieu accepted the offer from Vassar which will cover the entirety of the $52,000 annual tuition and boasts a strong film program, the major Sieu plans to pursue.
Did we mention that U.S. university tuitions are totally ridiculous?
