Vinh Hy Bay, Ninh Thuan (now is Khánh Hòa province), - the heart of natural wonder is not only blessed with striking landscapes but also nurtures a unique harmony between people and the land. For generations, the community has lived in symbiosis with nature: fishing along coral-rich coasts. People in traditional villages of Ninh Thuan weave brocade patterns inspired by rare blossoms, and shape pottery from the clay and forests that surround them.
Amanoi’s 2025 Mid-Autumn Mooncake collection is inspired by the nature and way of local life, capturing moonlit tales deeply rooted in local heritage. Each mooncake offers not only sweetness of flavor but also an evocative narrative of a land both abundant and serene.
Embodying the spirit of “Sense of Place” - refined, minimalist, and deeply rooted in locality, the mooncake box design draws inspiration from the traditional fishing basket, a timeless symbol of coastal life. Reimagined as soft, flowing waves of Vinh Hy, this motif captures the bay’s gentle rhythm in poetic form. The box itself is presented in two layers: the outer sleeve, crafted from pressed paper and sculpted into graceful curves, evokes the human hand in harmony with nature; beneath it lies the inner tableau, a panoramic depiction of the bay, Nui Chua, the sea, and Amanoi - a scene of grandeur, purity, and harmony. The inner box is handcrafted using traditional bamboo, making it not only a gift of aesthetic beauty but also a reflection of Amanoi’s enduring commitment to sustainability.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, from October 4–10, Amanoi has designed a vibrant program for families to reunite and share memorable moments together. The activities cater to all ages, ranging from lantern-making workshops, painting classes, and pottery lessons, to trekking adventures in Nui Chua National Park and sailing excursions across the bay on catamaran. Complementing these experiences are a series of special culinary events, including a seafood dinner by Vinh Hy Bay, a traditional Chợ Quê buffet, and an exclusive Cham-inspired dining evening. During this period, guests staying five nights or more will also receive a Mid-Autumn Mooncake box as a thoughtful gift from Amanoi.
