Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort Welcomes New GM

As world of travel begins to bounce back, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrice Landrein as a new General Manager. In the new role, Patrice will be responsible for a big team of Heartists and the success of the hotel's day to day operations. Patrice has been dedicated in the hospitality industry with over three decades of experience in multi-faceted luxury properties, he will bring his broad range of luxury industry experience across Europe, North America, Asia to lead the entire team with a modern management style.

Born and raised in a middle-class family in France, Patrice always makes great efforts in order to achieve his management career’s success. Starting his first job in the Ritz Paris, France as a Receptionist Trainee in 1991, followed by Hotel de Crillon in France, Hotel Savoy in London. Then moved to Hotel Plaza Athénée, New York in 1994 to take his first management role as an Assistant Manager, later Patrice became a Hotel Manager at 26 years old at Hotel Manapany in the French West Indies. Next, Patrice managed Le Vallon de Valrugues, Hotel de Vendome, etc. before making his debut in Asia in 2014.

By coincidence, Patrice visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam the first time in 2014 and fell in love with Vietnamese culture. It was a destiny when he had to move back and forth between Vietnam and Thailand to manage a few more properties, such as Amari Vogue, Krabi (Thailand), Dusit Hotel International in Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Pimalai Resort & Spa (Thailand). During Mr. Landrein's tenure as General Manager of Pimalai Resort & Spa, Thailand, the property was ranked as No. 1st in Thailand, and also No. 9th Best Luxury Hotel and Resort in the World on TripAdvisor in 2021.

His long-term goal is to open the Hospitality Education Center for orphan children named “Agnes & Joseph” as these names are linked to his mother and father’s surname. And Patrice wishes he could make the mission become the reality either in Vietnam or Thailand.

Coming back to Vietnam this time in the tourism bounceback, Patrice is very impressed by the next Vietnamese generations and proud of the current teams at Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort. “I will continue my passion for luxury hospitality and lead Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, managed by Accor, Vietnam becoming the best Five Star Luxury Resort in Vietnam and in the world”, Patrice stated. The whole resort team & Patrice will strive to continue the living legacy that this iconic property provides for its guests and other stakeholders.
